NHS efficiency

We have "Efficiency manager" shadowed our ward round few days ago. Our medical ward is not that big; we have physiotherapist with the zimmer, carer serving breakfasts and feeding patients, nurses going in and out giving patient medication and we the doctors seeing patients and writing notes, and going in and out looking at results on computer.

This efficiency manager followed us around, standing outside the curtain when we see patient....its like a space-occupying lesion squeezing in and out.

Now you tell me why our NHS trust is in the red.

And by the way,in the NHS trust near our hospital, why build a new hospital building with only 25 year old life span? The main hospital in the city built in the 70s already crumbling down.
