An update
Have started my FY2 job on microbiology+histopathology/ GUM/ medical on calls...(yes, it is altogether at the same time)
First two night as medical SHO oncall - proud to say no crash call at all. Managed to pick up an ACS from what the nurse perceived as musculoskeletal chest pain. Phew! Hence avoid a cardiogenic shock.
GUM/ Microbiology - verdict: interesting albeit boring. Can't believe I am saying this, but I am missing the wards, patient contacts and teamwork. GUM is extremely confidential, hence liaison with other specialties is kept to what only needed.
Future career - still undecided, altho' housewife is never out from my scope of options. Want to continue ST1 here but changes in immigration rules worries me.
Will update later when internet connection available at home.
Still no babies!
