Update

Well, well...nothing new except will be turning 27 this weekend.

Am soooo looking forward to the weekend, was wishing I could spent it at home, but since have booked this trip to Dublin; am planning to really rest. Been working continuously since last Monday (was oncall during weekend and yesterday); which mean today is the 10th day I am working without a time off. Can't really complain since I should have known better - being a doctor = working like a dog.

My colleague and I declared yesterday was a good day to survive a cardiac arrest. He brought back an iatrogenic tension later developed to heamopneumothorax and I brought back a VF arrest right the moment we supposed to handover to night team when the arrest bleep went off! Chuffed to bits albeit went home one hour later.
Why was I chuffed to bits? (1)my first ever cardiac arrest who actually survive (not that I have many arrest though working when I worked at district hospital) (2) I shocked him twice with this really peculiar arrest machine which has 150 Joules max.; which I only remembered from Royal Liverpool CPR induction course.

Not a good week, have a number of ill patients in the ward; kinda begging to MAU, can please give patients who are not bed-bound please?

On lighter notes, hubby & I started explore Liverpool; this city really grow on you.Should we "nest" here honey? One of my colleague have just bought a house off Lark Lane (the eating out street in Liverpool, lots of pubs and good restaurant there) and she said how sad, "her highlight post-PACES exam is tearing up the wallpaper and do the house up!". The nesting syndrome I called it! Kinda grow tired of this moving from city to city, but hey, this will be my predicted life in the next 5 years, at least will be around Mersey region! And I have commit myself to do medicine and I pray I will do a lot of good things in future.

Looking forward to a well-earned rest and the 2 weeks from hell after that (the only doc to man the ward & doing clinic; no SpR & working for 2 consultants!).
