stilton cheese

Have any of you taste stilton cheese?

I loved cheese, and can usually tolerate any kind of cheese. I had stilton cheese during my lunch break (I had to attend North West regional A&E induction course at Bolton on SUNDAY, ok.Ruined my weekend break). It is sooooo disgusting. I taste it once, went urghh, I felt repelled instantly...taste like a dirty sock. Never again.

A+E and resus

2 weeks into A&E, I am still learning. Didn't enjoy minors very much though - lots of orthopaedics, ENT, paeds, O&G stuffs. Paeds and O&G stuffs doesn't scare me as much; but I just hate orthopaedics topics.

I noticed A&E nurses are more straight-talking and very proactive, probably induced by management policy of 4 hour waiting times.I don't really think they care as much as to what is wrong with the patient; well, in A&E its either you die or you live (and live long enough to reach the ward in time). If you die, we all just gonna resuscitate you until medical team arrived. I find this a wee bit disturbing. I do have strong feeling about resuscitation. It is a very traumatic process. Yes, age alone should not discriminate the resuscitation decision. I most concern with co-morbidities and post-resuscitation care & quality of life. How do you feel resuscitating 60 year with end stage dementia (they are even worse than baby, forgetting how to swallow - feeding them become either win or lose game & you end up making a tube into their stomach to feed them & completely bed-bound) or resuscitating someone young with terminal cancer? I guess there is no right answer to this?

I personally don't want my fit and healthy 80 year old grandpa to be resuscitated in the event of arrest.Knowing him (I grew up under his guardian whilst I was in primary school), I would rather let him go peacefully. I loved him so much and I do worry about him a lot - he looked cachexic despite eating plenty of meals..*I almost in tears typing this*

I had so many drunk coming to A&E yesterday night - fights, one girl was found almost drown in a river, GI bleed, OD,ascites. British people drink like a fish. Apparently, drinking 3 liter of ciders, bottles of vodka & whisky, >8 cans of Stella is almost a norm for young adult. I suppose NHS better prepare a factory for liver transplant.
